How long does the appointment take?
A female or couples fertility assessment appointment lasts 60 minutes. A virtual consultation lasts 30 minutes.
Do I need a GP referral?
No, a GP refferal is not needed to have a assessment or consultation.
What should I bring to the appointment?
If you or your partner (if applicable) have had any previous investigations such as blood tests or semen analyses, please bring these along to your assessment or consultation appointment.
Can my partner join the virtual consultation
Yes. We strongly recommend your partner to join the consultation.
Is a female clinician avaiable for internal (transvaginal) scanning?
An ultrasound scan is largely operator’s skill dependent. To give you the highest level of care,
the consultant (Dr Datta) would like to do the detailed scan himself to assess you fertility
status and plan your treatment. He also preferres to do all subsequent scans to take any
decision. We will soon have a female scanner avaiable.
