Dr Datta is the founder of Birmingham IVF & Fertility Centre.
He has 30 years of experience as a Gynaecologist and over 15 years in the field of Assisted Reproduction.
Dr. Datta is a leading global authority on gentle stimulation IVF, whose landmark 2021 systematic review and meta-analysis in Human Reproduction Update synthesised randomised controlled trial data across all patient populations. This paper is cited in the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) Guidelines on Ovarian Stimulation, which are cross-referred in the UK’s NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) national guidelines. Furthermore, his findings provided the definitive evidence base for ISMAAR’s landmark recommendation that Mild Stimulation protocols should replace conventional IVF in all clinical settings worldwide, a recommendation paper on which Dr. Datta served as the second author.
